Not worth it - boost plan takes too long to unlock 12 mo I think, no unlock code on ebay, boost support is dumb asf. I would know since I spent the last 10 days without service...
How long do you have to keep the $60 plan? I am currently on the $25 boost plan and would like to switch back to it eventually after starting on the 60 plan

You can turn off the auto renewal right away. What you want to do is keep your original $25.00 plan on the sim card that you already have because if you port your number to the $60.00 plan on the new sim card you won't be able to switch back. When you order the phone, just have them choose the number for the new sim card, turn off auto renewal and simply put your original sim card in the phone.

Check your account dash board, I was able to use the device upgrade option to purchase the phone only and keep my current boost plan
If buy BYOD sim it doesn't know which phone you are using so won't unlock but it will work only for boost service.
Seems like they should be able to see what phone was used for the byod plan. The app already shows the IMEI being used. May have to contact CS about it if it doesn't auto unlock in 12 months.

And the old deal you were referring to was $200+$40 = $240. Or am i missing something here?
oh nvm, i didn't realize Boost iPhone has to be active x 12 months plan before it's unlocked.
OK deal if someone wants to stay with boost. Not with the $60 plan ofc.
