Mine says "eligible for an upgrade" but shows the full price of devices
Every Boost Mobile customer will be "eligible for an upgrade" from day 1; but they'll become "eligible for an upgrade discount" only after 9 months of continuous service 😊
Can you stop your $60/month service after one month and buy another sim card for 15/month? Thx!
On the older XR deal it was only possible to downgrade the plan after 3 consecutive months of service. So, likely the same applies. I suppose it's possible to instead get a new number and put another SIM as you mention, but who knows if it's possible to unlock after 1 year if using a different number than what originally activated with the phone. Also in the XR deal it was only possible to disable autopay after 3 consecutive payments

Thank you for the info. Seems not a good deal then.
As a YEARS LONG Boost Mobile customer(13 years)I have to say that the service/coverage , pretty much everything has been fantastic for me. So,I do recommend Boost Mobile.
BUT, being that the actual service is a great deal, $25/month for unlimited Text/talk and 30 GB data,
The extra $35/month for the phone seems a bit high. You can get many phones from them or even elsewhere(that work for boost mobile) for way lower prices. I always buy my phones cash and just pay the $25/month for their plan.
Just wanted to give my "2 cents".
either way....you'd be stupid to buy this to unlock it after 12 months active service either way. So I think most people who'd get this would either be (a) using as wifi only w/hotspot (b) try to get it unlocked through ebay or another service. So it's still a better deal.
Can people who mentioned this is other ways to save money elaborate on how to do so in details? How to get it unlocked through ebay or another service?

why do you want to trade in an iPhone 12?
Verizon is taking any phone back to iPhone 3 (according to Costco)
I just trade in my Moto G pure and Samsung A03s (free phones from Cricket couple years ago)

This is $149+$60x12 = $869 paying $189 more for same phone deal that's been on sale since march
