Is the heatsink model good for a PS5? Have a new PS5 for my kiddo and from what I can tell it will work?

Manufactures have been cutting down production for NAND. The pricing for next year will most likely go up.
So we have couple months to let it drop

What is the Warranty on this SSD?

Buy now or wait for prices to drop further?
You might save $10 on it during the holidays, but I think that will be it for awhile.

Holding out for the 990 4TB 236-Layer V8 TLC. It demolishes this smaller version.

Edit: For random, though varies on what you want it for. 2TB is better for a lot of things still.

It is, but you can also buy just about any generic heatsink for NVME drives or a specific PS5 heatsink for NVME drives for $10 or less if you wish to save some money. Example MHQJRH heatsink [amazon.com] for $8.99.

This was $80 on Sept. 19th. I might wait to see if it dips lower for Black Friday. Thanks for the post though.
The 990 Pro 2TB? Where? This is the lowest I've seen it.

That's the one I currently have on my 980 pro in my ps5. Works fine. But now replacing with the 990 pro with heatsink!

It's over kill. This is the best consumer SSD out there. 2TB is the sweet spot at the moment.

Look carefully. That was for the 1 TB version.

Take it from me, unless you need this NOW, it will only be dropping more in the near future. Look at SSD prices over the past year for a trend line.
About 5-10% increase next year, approximately few dollars more expected because of the cut backs in production
