This is part of a larger overall sale for 50% off certain new games, with the full list here [gamestop.com].

Some standouts:

Wild Hearts (XSX) for $9.99
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD (NSW) for $29.99
Elden Ring (PS4) for $19.99, and XSX for $24.99
Metroid Dread (NSW) for $29.99
Capcom Fighting Collection (NSW, PS4, XB1) for $19.99
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection (XSX) for $14.99
Mario Strikers: Battle League (NSW) for $29.99 (store pickup only)
Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection (PS4) for $29.99 (store pickup only)
WarioWare: Get it Together (NSW) for $24.99
Cuphead (XB1) for $19.99 (store pickup only)
The King of Fighters XV (PS5) for $19.99
Them's Fightin' Herds: Deluxe Edition (NSW, PS4, XB1) for $19.99
Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires (XB1) for $14.99
Nier Replicant (XB1) for $14.99
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin (XB1, PS4) for $9.99
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R (PS4, PS5, XB1) for $9.99
Dark Souls Remastered (XB1) for $9.99

They also have a 75% off select new games sale here [gamestop.com]:

Octopath Traveler II (PS4) for $14.99
No More Heroes III (NSW) for $14.99
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes (NSW) for $14.99
Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled (XB1) for $6.25
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin (PS5) for $5.00

GameStop is known for being less than reliable when it comes to shipping "new" games, so if you want the game to arrive new, I'd recommend ordering online from Target [target.com] and asking them to price-match; they carry most of the games that are a part of this sale and your chances of getting something other than new games are close to zero when you order from Target.

The last one I played was Ruby Red... a long time ago... I know the difference is which Pokémon are exclusive to which edition. Does anybody have a preference?

Oh dang, I didn't think Target price matched GameStop. I know Best Buy doesn't.

I ordered like 5 of the random $5 dollar games a couple weeks ago from this sale. Half came open with those awful stickers on them. One ps4 disc has some slight visible wear on it. "New".

I would have liked to get Valkyrie Elysium for $10. Oh well.

Had an issue with Gamestop recently, ordered 3 games and 1 game was not even the right game (these were shipped to me). Went into gamestop and was told I can't return/exchange in store (despite Gamestop CS informing to return to store through email) and I had to ship it back and wait for the correct game. Needless to say I just sold the incorrect game to not deal with Gamestop's ridiculous problems

I just finished BD. It was good. Elite 4 was probably the toughest our of Shield and Scarlet that I played. Shield battle graphics were pretty awesome, I felt like the overall game was pretty short no elite 4. Scarlet open world is pretty awesome, still supported. It was longer the BD and shield. I just ordered arceus through the QVC deal.

Typically, most GameStop sales can't be price-matched because they're specific to preowned games and/or require you to buy in bulk (like the 4 for $20/$40 sale that started today [gamestop.com]) and a price-match at any store 1) requires the items to be in identical condition, and 2) requires that the sale be a simple price discount instead of anything complicated like buying in bulk.

If you see a sale at GameStop on new games where the price for a single copy is lowered, however, that can be price-matched.

I tried to price match this with Target.com via live chat, but was unsuccessful. The representative first said the GameStop price is part of a clearance sale, which Target has a policy against price matching, then after questioning a little they said their system states this item is ineligible for price match, so I passed on it.

No big deal for me. Just wanted to let others know as I prefer not to purchase from GameStop.

I just chatted with them on the app, and I placed the order online for pick up.

Target told me they don't price match sale prices.
