Nope. I've installed at least a dozen floors over the years and only used a flooring saw once. I mean, it works fine and all, but so does a circular saw, miter saw, jig saw, razor blade etc. I personally see no need for such a specialty tool, especially when the cuts are going to be covered by trim anyways.
I actually bought one of these from the clearance rack at HD in one of the sales on here awhile back. I was prepping to refloor my entire house with continuous wood flooring. We used it a couple of times and threw it aside for the the Ryobi miter saw and table saw I already had and was much easier to deal with. Waste of money.
