Good: It's small, lightweight and portable. It fits in an Amazon Basics 11" laptop sleeve without any slop. It has a mechanical privacy shutter for the webcam. The keyboard is pretty freakin' awesome -- it's sincerely a nice keyboard overall, let alone one that's so darn thin.
Bad: It gets hot fast, and you can hear the fan kick on. The battery discharges pretty fast while it's turned off --- if you turn off at 100%, it'll be at 0% within 2-3 days. The audio is pretty bad, but I've heard worse. The trackpad is obviously small, and as such, makes it a challenge to use.
Fugly: It's a "Surface Pro" tablet+kickstand design. If you don't care about it, then it's perfectly fine. If you want to use it as a laptop -- you may be swearing in three different languages at the dang thing.
-------
I got the Lenovo X12 "Detachable Case" for it. And it adds so much bulk for very little protection or benefit, I stopped using it after a week.
I use it as a portable "desktop" machine -- I connect it to a USB-C dock at two different locations. With the dock, it's a single cable connection for keyboard, mouse, headphones, microphone, streaming audio controls, streamdesk, and 3x monitors (1920x1200, 2560x1400, 2560x1600). As such, it takes up so little desk space since you can rip that keyboard off.
It's great to use on a bed, couch, or cloth surface, as all the heat is in the vertical part -- not the base.
But using it as a "laptop"? It's awful. It cannot be used on your lap, you can't carry it around open, and on any table it needs a larger footprint than any other normal laptop. You're not using it on an airline tray table or a small lecture hall writing desk. If size doesn't matter to you, then you'll be much happier overall.
I haven't used the pen input, as I despise pen input and got a computer originally so I don't need to scribble my notes, as I type a heckuva lot faster than I could ever write. The touchscreen is nice, and I always use a mouse on windows because "There Are No Good Windows Trackpads."
Allstate warranties aren't worth the time it's taking to type this.

It does take up a little more space because of the kickstand but I have definitely used it on my lap

Of all Windows tablets, I think this Thinkpad is the toughest and most durable though, with the best keyboard.
But keep in mind that any Windows tablet that is not a Surface Pro suffers from not having many accessories on the market. For example, this Thinkpad X12 uses Wacom AES pen technology, which sucks because 95% of digital pens on the market are MPP. Of course it comes with a pen already, but if you want to upgrade and do more artistic works, you don't have that many options and can't compete with Surface. You may also need to look up the dimension and find a Surface Pro screen protector that fits if you ever need a tempered glass one, not a film one.
