This model has been around for like 15 years. They're workhorses. Just FYI shark has a 5 year warranty on the motor if it dies. I've had to file a claim once. They video chat with you to troubleshoot and then end up sending a replacement unit.
I bought this 15 years ago, it's now in the garage doing lite work. I bought two other Shark vacuums since. Neither the vacuum nor anything that came with it broke.

Really wanted to like this vacuum. It had really good suction power and the portability up the stairs when you detach the unit. However , I decided to return it. There are too many clips for the canister and the hose attachments. They're all plastic so if one breaks you're SOL unless you can get a replacement. It isn't easy for someone older to operate it unless you're only using it to vacuum the carpet.

I love the Navigator, mine is 7 years old and running great. So easy to take apart right to the motor in a few minutes with nothing but a Philips screwdriver.
The design really considers where wear will occur and mitigates it by making those small parts removable and replaceable, unlike others where you have to replace large portions of the unit (*cough cough* Dyson *cough cough*). That said I haven't had to replace anything on mine, I just took mine apart because I was trying to solve a blockage in the wrong place (it was fine dust clogging up the mesh in the main canister).

Exactly...I had bought mine in 2017 for $60 on ebay and still going strong
Mine actually broke just recently at about 11 months into owning it.
So how many have you had? You could've written a detailed response if you went through more than one. Is that your assumption? Have you cleaned the dirt pad/filter? I've used mine for 5-6 years no issue, even bought a pet pro edition recently
I really love this exact model. I bought the same blue deluxe one over three years ago. Still runs perfect as ever. Just be sure to clean the filter every once in a while. Recommended.

I have this exact model, Amazon says I purchased in Apr of 2017 for $159. Works great however after years of the kids dragging it around by the hose attachment it has started to rip and I've been taping it up w/ duck tape. Picking up another, at this price totally worth.
