The fact that the speakers (dock) can't be used as a standalone Google Nest speakers blows my mind and keeps me from making this purchase. It makes no sense to me why it requires the tablet to be on the dock to play music.

This is a first. Let's see if they keep making them at all. They should support it for like 3 years.
And that's when I'll buy one if they drop <$200

Seriously these seem like a great tablet option but only $100 off? I'll wait for black Friday.

I'm Android for the most part (happy with my Pixel 7 and 6a phones), but the absolute only reason I got an iPad was to be able to use Procreate. It's a damn shame they refuse to make an Android app, as there's nothing that even comes close on the Play store
Check out hipaint no on android. A procreate clone.

Article is irrelevant. Hipaint is a procreate clone and not even on that list. Infinity painter is probably the best. And these two are is for intermediate to professional digital drawing creators. Sketchbook, there #1 is ass and for beginners

Nexus 7 was the first. Pixel Slate was a more recent (ChromeOS) tablet. I had battery expand on that latter almost 2 years after purchase. Google killed it by then and told me sucks to suck when I reached out asking for help

I didn't know what Procreate was about so I looked it up. Here it is in case anyone else was wondering.

Nexus 7 was such a champ. Perfect size too. We flashed that thing with a new ROM a few times a year and it ran great for 8 years until it stopped charging.

Then came the Nvidia Shield. Had that for another 7 years before it stopped charging.

They don't make them like they used to, and, yes, I am including the OnePlus Pad in that generalization
