Edit:
Some items have free delivery. Never thought this was free and usually it's $79 flat.
Some of these are truly amazing (soul sucker, sheesh, that would scare every little kid within a mile radius, and probably piss parents off) And the kid carving the pumpkin...yowza!
EDIT: My mistake did not see some of these are actually available for shipping now..

We just moved to a suburb in Indianapolis. We passed out candy to more than 50 kids tonight. I'd say it just depends
Anyway, hardly anything worthwhile, imo, at Lowe's. I went for the "Grave Mound" (9 listed as in stock, 8 were actually on the table, I grabbed 4), which is a rectangular brown piece of burlap with 6 stakes (8 would've been better). It's does what I needed it to do, stuffed a bunch of leaves under it to make the mound. Planted the headstone, scattered some leaves around and on it, and it looks alright. I really could've cut my old beige burlap in my shed, but for 2.67 each, I won't lose any sleep over the cost. I certainly wouldn't have paid the regular $10.98 (for just one).
It really does depend on where you live. But kids don't knock on doors (like we did back in the day). That's because people come out and wait for them. In the downtown type area where I live it used to be just me and the Florist Shop who did a lot of theming. Now, a lot of younger people have moved into the neighborhood so more people have started decorating.
If you have old people in the neighborhood, they don't participate as much -I've found.
Theming etc for Halloween isn't child's play, it's real work. Sometimes neighborhoods don't have many kids in them, therefore there is no real reason to bother. My sister lives away from the city in a suburb and she had 1 kid show up.
