do not get the lg g3 83". it is not a just bigger G3, it is old tech
"In the 1st year of the warranty, panel, parts and labor costs are covered. In the 2nd-5th year of the warranty, only panels are covered, and labor will be charged." From LG website.
Please explain.

Edit: Just read that the 83" doesn't feature the MLA technology introduced on the other sizes. What a shame.

this is prolly gonna be the lowest until next year.

it's slightly lower than precious deal by like $50-100. So if it's lower it will likely be $100-150 less... but doubtful.

BUT, what do I know.

The 77 inch is the biggest and best. The 83 inch panel is not a MLA panel. Besides 83 is only 6 inches bigger than a 77 and a 77 is 12 inches bigger than a 65 so there you have it nothing is better than the 77.

What's the bonus for this model? Any new tech that is actually usable over a lower end model? I'm still rocking my E9 with red burn in of the CNN logo.

The LG G3s come with a built-in manufacturer 5 year warranty, so what does the 4 year extended warranty here add exactly? LG is always kinda vague about what their warranty covers. At least the CPS warranty is clear about what it covers.

It's measured diagonally. If you do the math, the 83" is approximately 15% larger than the 77".

That said, the size should be determined by the room you're putting it in. Having an oversized TV is unpleasant.

still seems too much, in my opinion, when qd oled 65 is $1600.

Burn in on gen 1 QD OLED panels were often reported, some prefer LG upscaling and processing to Samsung's , way too many reports of 3-4 panel swaps with Samsung, And Dolby vision is an option on LG. 5 year warranty adds some assurance behind the product.

Not going to deny the colors on QD-OLED are excellent but Samsung might be a bit of a gamble for many.

I got a S90C for now, but what sucks is I have good meters for calibrating tvs, but not good enough for an accurate one for qd oled. So to really get it right I have to pay someone $525. sigh. RTrying to be sure I keep it.

What's weir, though, is so far I still prefer my original samsung oled from 2015 called the S9C because the colors on that one look sooooo soothing. But I did calibrate that one myself, so I am comparing a calibrated tv with a noncalibrated.

I also think it's VERY annoying that the S90C doesn't have dolby vision or dts, though. Ridiculous and pathetic of them. I wonder if the tvs are capable of it if samsung ever decides to stop being cheapskates and pays the licensing.

edit: as far as processing, I tried a sony a90k and it definitely seemed more amazing to me on sub-4k content. Probably the lg would also. But some calibrator told me they're still close enough to not notice the difference if calibrated.
