Extremely YMMV, but you might be able to roll the dice and pick up an "Open Box - Excellent" G3 65" for $1291.
You can get lucky with open box deals. But be careful with display TVs. Always check the hourmeter. My Best Buy's G3 had 10,000 hours on it! It literally ran day and night the entire time it was on display.

Oof yeah, definitely do your due diligence. It really is a dice roll, you might get lucky and get a buyers remorse return in like new condition, or you might get a floor model. Even the stated condition 'excellent' can't be taken at face value. I've always had a good experience, but just check the condition and be prepared to have to return it.

Finding an open box on one of these at this point will be a Unicorn
The stores have for the most part gotten rid of their displays, of this panel, months ago...finding one of those will be a double unicorn...Unless the store shipped their display unit to the Best Buy outlet, as I have seen recently
At this point an open box is probably truly a buyers remorse return..or one that has gone through service that Best Buy reselling. The later could be a plus since it could have had replaced parts including a new panel

Agreed...thats why I say always take a look at them at the store
I bought a Samsung QN800C about two weeks ago marked " fair"
The TV was in the box, all the plastic on it, with all the accessories in their original packaging
The box had been opened...but it was clear nothing had ever been removed from that box

Pro tip. If you go to actual store listed in stock for your open box, you will most likely have lower sticker tag on the actual open boxes, which will be way lower than online open box price.

Agreed...seen that before as well
Addtionally.......Best Buy often removes discontinued product skus from their website, though they are still in the stores. Especially the Best Buy outlet stores
I bought two TV's in the last month from the Best Buy Outlet
A Samsung 50" QN90C and a Samsung 65" QN800C...Neither are searchable on the Best Buy website but were sitting in the outlet store
They were also both 75% off MSRP , in excellent condition with the original box and all the accessories...
Damn, I really chose the wrong time to splurge on an OLED. I paid nearly this much for my 55" C1 (back in 2021.) A 65" G1 was probably over $3000 at the time.

Brother, my B6(!) 65" back in 2016 cost me $2200ish, and that was AFTER the scratch-off promotion and Military Star card discount from the Navy Exchange. The thing was close to $3k beforehand. And this was the "budget" model.
I was pretty close to pulling the trigger on a floor model G3, but glad I waited. I was able to get a 65" G4 with free soundbar from the LG Partner store for $2k. Their sales are very random but if you keep checking back often you may get lucky.

How do you get special code or entry to buy at LG?
