LG is the best TV brand.
Fight me.
Save your money. The TV you have is just fine.
If you are Costco member, look at buying from there since you get total of 5-yr warranty.

I too am wondering what issues are covered.

Burn in?
Damage?
Dimming?

I'm thinking of getting a CostCo membership for the TV.
Costco allstate warranty specifically excludes burn in. Only Best Buy warranty covers it, hence why its way more expensive. OLEDs suck.

That warranty doesn't cover burn in
Burn-in isn't really a problem anymore. Can it still happen? Yes. However, it's a very tiny portion of OLEDs. Every product in existence is capable of having something go wrong with it. The whole "beware of burn-in" thing needs to go away, though.

Last Christmas I paid $1700+$100 extended warranty for a B2 from Walmart/BeachCamera. The B3 shouldn't be more than that later this year.

Anyone thinking about this vs the Hisense U75K, which will be $900 at Costco in a couple of weeks. I know this TV is better, but is it TWICE as good? 5 year vs 3 year warranty does have me maybe considering this one.

It's not an OLED, so it's a different category TV altogether?

Agreed. Once we went Sony 3 years ago we never looked back. Went through Samsung (the absolute worst), and LG (not bad), we finally settled on Sony. We have 4 Sony TVs in the house now and they have been absolutely perfect.

This is a great deal, and an infinitely better option than Samsung though.
It really is luck of the draw. Out of all the TVs I've bought over the years, the only one to ever crap out was a Sony lol
