Associate says this isn't an issue anymore with the current Gen,
Burn in hasn't been a real issue with OLED in years unless you're watching CNN 24/7 in torch mode.
I'm sure we'll get a couple randos here saying otherwise but folks like rtings have done thousands of hours of testing and in normal use it's simply not been a concern for a long time... my CX is well north of 10k hours without issue right now and that's already generations old compared to the newer/better stuff.

Costco supposedly has 30 day price protection as well from the associate i spoke with today.
30 days officially- though if you order online you have a longer return window and if you chat with a rep they'll refund the difference rather than cost themselves the expense of a return/rebuy- got $200 back that way on my CX purchase around day 45 or so a few years ago.
so what's the verdict? tor between this or sony a90j. I 100% want an OLED, but over 2000$ for a tv is not happening. So go with this and wall mount it? or wait a bit and more deals will come?
I will probably save like 10$ with amex XD

If you checked last years deals, this is probably going to be the cheapest for a 77" oled. The prices for OLEDs actually is best a week or two before black Fridays and during spring March/April but good luck finding YMMV deals in the spring. I bought this tv and it is great. I don't see how it gets burn ins as the pixels shift on static images and if you leave it idle for too long it does fireworks screensaver.
I have pretty much decided on this TV and would purchase from Best Buy and the My Best Buy Total Yearly Membership for warranty/support purposes. Will it go lower on Black Friday? I know I can get a price adjustment but I always like purchasing at the best price right off the bat.

I think this is the best TV for the price in the 75-77" space. Pulling the trigger from Costco
