I might get this so I can give away my 22 foot Werner that weighs a ton
Heavy is good! A friend of mine fell 15ft because the ladder moved and he wasn't able to recover his balance. Fell down with the ladder landing on top of him. Almost lost his entire left arm. His surgeon performed some miraculous repair on it. Then the hellish painful physical therapy that he said made him cry every visit 3 times a week for 6 months.

Little Giant MegaLite+ 18 ft. Reach Ladder with Leg Levelers is on sale for $150 at Costco, but even that ladder is almost 35 lbs, which is heavier than the Gorilla.

A typical American 2-story gutter will be 20' high, then you have to add about a foot to account for the lean of the ladder and another foot to go above the gutter, so a ladder that is actually 22' long should be needed. (add a couple more feet if you want to be able to safely get on the roof)

However, a 22' Gorilla ladder is really only 19' tall, so you'll probably need a ladder that advertises a 25'-26' reach to safely reach a 2nd story gutter.
Was outside measuring how high the shutters were this morning. I love the 22 ft, but for 90% of the jobs around the house, it's heavy trying to tote it upstairs to change smoke detector batteries in a vaulted ceiling. Great info; thanks.

Is there a major difference between this and "Little Giant MegaLite+ 18 ft. Reach Ladder with Leg Levelers" from Costco (other than the price)?
Costco Little Giant Megalite+ 18ft —- on Nov 27th (and only that day) It will be $40 off - $149 online only (the ad is in their Black Friday flyer)

Little giant is 35lbs, has wheels and leg levelers (can extend a leg up to 7inches to compensate for uneven ground without using a board(s).

Gorilla is 30.5 lbs and no wheels or leg levelers.

Both are rated for 300lbs.

There's a video from "diy geek" that's shows differences, but he complains about the Little Giants "pegs/levers" that are used to adjust the height- it looks like little giant changed these and now they are similar to a gorilla's. Both now appear to have knobs that twist and pull out.

I'm my brief review- it seemed like people comparing them went with or preferred Gorilla.

I recently bought a home and I definitely need a ladder. Is this right for me (and not an overkill for household jobs of hanging a fan or changing a lightbulb) or would I be better to go with the Costco Little Giant which is also available for $99?
These types of ladders are a bit overkill for most indoor jobs. They're pretty heavy to maneuver around corners and hallways. That said, if you're only going to buy one ladder to do almost everything you will ever need to do, it's a good buy. Gorilla Ladders are legit.

How come its $199 for me? Seems like people are still seeing $99. Is the deal off?

Edit:

Had to add it to the cart for the price to change. All good!

Got one to replace the Werner I picked up a few years ago. There are 2 issues with Werner:
1) Super heavy (not entirely a bad thing, but not good either)
2) The ladder is stored mostly outside and locks are getting stuck real bad.

Hmm 🤔 military doesn't apply. Usually even "sale prices" had the 10% off. Must be a loss leader

Went to check out and they pulled it. No longer available even though stock showed 100+ in the local area.
