Looks like pretty much every retailer has a sale on this right now for about $1600 with some designated as "Black Friday". I'll link a few popular ones.

Yea, I am wondering what the chances are we see further discounts before the end of the month. Last year the X95K didn't see any discounts around BF if I remember right.

I think the chances of significant reductions beyond this prices are pretty slim since both Costco & Best Buy listed $1,599 as their official Black Friday price.

That would be my guess.

I've been looking at this tv for a while and waiting for a deal. Seems like one of the better non-oled TVs, which is what I'm looking for.

High end Mini led tv. Your buying the name unless it's their flagship Oled device like in the QD-OLED category.

There are less expensive ones out there for a 1000 dollars or so,

Really considering the 75" version to replace my 900E. I bought this 65" for a room with 4 windows, a front door with sidelights, and a window in the adjacent room and it's brightness is great. The 900E has a great picture but the OS has stopped working and now only works on hdmi inputs (Firestick for tv) and is also in a bright room. Sony got it right on this one especially with the current deal on the x93l lineup!

This is an ATL for a slightly higher end TV, its better than a lot of other TVs that cost more and performs on par if not better than a lot of TV's that have more local dimming zones.

Back in August this was $2K so this is a substantial discount. Costco is also selling the their version the Sony X95CL w/ the 5 Yr warranty + 2 Years of Bravia Core + 15 movie credits (vs everyone else 1yr + 5 credit + 1yr warranty). I think Bravia Core might be worth getting invested into in the long run cause its the only uncompressed movie streaming service.

If you want it any cheaper than the advertised BF prices you should wait during clearance time and hope you get it for a little less. Price is good for this high quality TV if you would rather not risk and chance it.

I'm hoping there will be a steeper black friday discount. Its a highly competitive beast but the problem is theres still a lack of local dimming zones compared to the other higher end Mini-LED Tvs out there from TCL & Hisense but Sony's image and movement processing really is a cut above the rest. Feels like you can watch a Sony display or days without fatigue but everyone elses content processing looks cheap and fatiguing in comparison. Not sure why we didnt get the X95L in 65" in this side of the world though.

I just bit a couple days ago. Do I think it's a great deal, no, but it's a steep discount for a Sony model and I am concerned we won't see a bigger one before Holiday break. I would have gladly paid this price for past years X95K last year so why not.

And I hear ya on the 95L, as it would absolutely be a buy for me as 65 is the biggest that will fit my setup.

How do you like your x93l after 6 months of ownership?

thanks
I went to bestbuy (Magnolia) and watched sony A80L, x93L, x90L, Samsung S90C and QN90C side by side.
A80L had deeper black, but somehow its high contrast was not friendly to pictures with noises.
S90C and QN90C appeared washed out and not crisp.
X93L has the best overall experience.
Only thing is it is sold for 1599+tax with no discount.
Anyone knows if there is a good deal for x93L?
