People seemed to like the previous Spinfisher combo deal but felt that the 6500 sized reel was too heavy and the 6'6 rod was too short. Here's one from West Marine for about the same price, with a more manageable reel and a slightly longer rod.

so tempted but I only do inshore/salt fishing a couple weeks a year on vacations....should prolly stick with my Penn Pursuit 4000 7' combos I snagged last spring for 38 each from Walmart.

This is a great deal for frequent fishermen, but you're right you don't need this. The $38 you got was a great price. The main advantage of the spinfishers over the pursuits is the water seals. Pursuits can handle salt splashes fine, but not immersion, As long as you rinse well and never dunk them in the ocean you should get years of annual use out of your pursuit reels.
