I wouldn't recommend buying bags for someone else unless you know exactly what they want. Women can be picky about their bags.

Like the comment above says, this bag is bad for places with lots of people. The color is also not great for transfers and dyes; this bag will rub against a lot of different fabrics.

Did you look at the pictures for this item (Holly Convertible Shoulder Bag [nordstromrack.com])? It has a single button closure. No zipper top. Nothing in the description claiming to have a zipper.

Could you be referring to the Harmony Crossbody Bag [nordstromrack.com]? That does have a top zipper to help secure the contents, The description confirms this. The version in Stone is only $39.98!Peace
