Fortnite has pretty low requirements and even this system would provide plenty of room for playing AAA games. This chip is highly rated for gaming and an i7 is often not needed if the system is only used for gaming.

I picked up one for a friend... in case I don't want to build a 5600G system or it ends up costing more.

You could probably also get away with a small AIO bee link with a 5800H or 6800H chip as the APU (GPU) is pretty powerful. I've had people play fortnight, Dead by Daylight, roblox, and tons of other games on my 5800 SER5.

This 5800H is currently $299 since this is now an older chipset/CPU.

What prebuilt is available for $799.99 with a 3060ti?
I came here to criticize this, but only I can say is this one looks like a very well balanced PC for gaming for the price.

Can anyone provide insights to this cpu for playing Fortnite? I was thinking about one that's on clearance on Costco.com: https://www.costco.com/ibuypower-...39335.html it's for my nephew, thanks ahead.

gfx card would need to be 3060ti for this deal to be competitive.

The $799.99 price is ok.

I know if I build one myself with about the same config and an online windows key, it will be about $800 or so.

Some Best Buy stores may have the open box one for $705.99,
if no missing part, it may make sense to buy this.

The mining craze is over. They need to stop with these LHR cards.

Why? Does LHR effect FPS or other performance?

Doesn't matter anymore. The hash limit was removed last year via driver update.

A 3060 ti is only gonna be 5fps better so I dunno how that's more "competitive"

I'm sorry that you have received some helpful and mostly not helpful advice.

We have seen better gaming prebuilt machines on slickdeals a couple weeks ago about the same price.

If your in a pinch and need something for this exact amount then this is probably your best bet. All the other gaming PCs out there at the moment are 400-600$ more with a rtx 4060 which isn't a huge upgrade over an rtx 3060.

This system only has a 500gb ssd which is probably fine for a few games but depends on the game. Some games are 100GB or more and that would only be good enough for a couple. Your nephew would definitely need to upgrade the SSD hard drive at some point or add another one in there. And I dunno if this system allows for that.
