Nice price. I have two and love them. I use this more than any other Dewalt light I have; it's just super convenient and stays put.

The lowest I've seen this was a $29 Lightning Deal on Prime Day. I missed it then but I'm not in immediate need so I'm holding out hope it hits that again around Black Friday

I'd say this heavily depends on what you're going to do with it. I think this one is generally well regarded for quick grab and go to work in a small space. It's very portable but in terms of lumens, it's rated 160 lumen are quite a bit lower than the DCL050 [amazon.com] at 1000 lumens, DCL043 [amazon.com] at 1500 lumens, or DCL077B [amazon.com] at 2000 lumens. It also throws straight ahead so if you're looking for wider beams you'd probably look at one of those or for a "fill the whole room at once" you'd probably look at the DCL074 [amazon.com], which is rated at 5000 lumens and throws 360 degrees around. This is a good price relative to its regular price, but honestly, most people would probably be better off buying a rechargeable flashlight (cheaper, lighter weight, and doesn't occupy an expensive tool battery) than almost any handheld work light, regardless of brand.

Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking. I've never owned a light like this but own others that get the job done and don't require a $50+ battery.

These dewalt lights only make sense if you already have the batteries. Otherwise there are way better deals on bright rechargeable lights.
If you have dewalt batteries, these are better in the fact that you can swap a battery and keep the light going without a recharge or use a huge battery and have it on for as long as you need. This light can stay on for a week straight with a 12ah battery. This can be great for camping where it wouldn't be practical to recharge a conventional light.
