iDrive sells it for 104.65, but Tom's Guide has a promotion for $3.98 for the first year.
I have always been adamant about backup solutions since I lost a week's worth of data for a company back in 1994. In addition to my Robocopy scripts that backup to portable hard drives rotated weekly for offsite, I also have had a cloud provider (SOS) for more than a decade. This month I was given 28 days notice that my unlimited plan was being cancelled and replaced with options that were more than 1000% higher cost. I investigated several options and found a deal for iDrive through Tom's Guide that is really a bargain and wanted to share it with y'all.

I just contacted customer service. This can't be added to an existing account. It is only good on new accounts. However, you can have multiple accounts associated with the same email address, and if you're a current subscriber, you can get this deal by creating a new account.
I was able to get this $4.98 special by creating a new account. I used my same email address but I had to create new user name. I do have to start my backup(s) from scratch.
Customer service advised me to cancel the auto renewal on my old account and that account would end when the subscription on that account ends, which in my case, is January 2024. Then I will only have this one new account for $4.98 for the first year.
Thanks OP. This saved me money on an auto renewal.
