Heads up, my chair came with a rip at a seam and I was told by a respawn agent that the chair have no manufacturer warranty if sold by Menards.

Yes that's what I told the agent, he tells me they were sold to Menards with no warranty from the manufacturer. Menards couldn't get me a replacement because they didn't have any in stock so they told me to contact the manufacturer. Very crappy situation.

Did you try to return it at Menards? This is covered by their normal 90 day return policy.

Yeah the refund is not a problem, the chair was a present so I was trying to get a replacement or get it exchanged.

So, you saw the signed contract between Menards and Respawn? I've had no problems dealing with Menard's customer service ever. Even if it's some sort of error, they would make good on it.

I had a splitting maul that had a lifetime warranty that failed after 10 years (fiberglass handle snapped), they gave me a new one (different brand even, they didn't even carry the old one) on the spot.

I have to agree with this. Got a voucher for black friday for a tv stand with an electric fireplace for less than $200. Paid for it and was told to come back after noon to pick it up. I come to get it and they're all sold out somehow. There's none in any nearby menards because it was a discontinued item. They ended up giving me the closest thing they had that included the fake fireplace - it was a $500 stand.

I literally agreed with your statement that I'm making an assumption. Of course I don't know the actual contract. We have a real life data point about someone who took the time to contact both companies already, which I appreciate greatly and am downvoting on that experience. You may have never had a problem with Menard's customer service but someone buying this exact product did.

I got 2 of these for my kids, it's very do-able for $40. I can't say how well they will last. Not sure how long you can sit on it till it feels like bricks buck for the few minutes I tried it, it was ok. Assembly was ok the only thing that sucked was head rest zipper, just make sure you zip it without messing up the zipper, I had to redo mines a few times. The arms are stationary no 4D movement, does lean back and tilt. For $40 it's a good value.
