Right. That different number was your new number. IDK how you get it now. I used the number to create me account. Verizon never emailed me the contract at least yet.
Can't we use the email you used to sign up to create an account?

Scroll up. I was just able to pay off the device with a CS rep. I'm unsure though when I should cancel. Should I wait till Saturday when I get the phone to turn it on and then cancel? I don't want to mess up the automated unlock in 60 days process.
Do you already have your device?

It asked me for my phone number as a first step to create my account.

I payed off the device. You activation seems to be whenever you create your account based on what I can tell. I just canceled my service via chat and the rep even said the phone should be unlocked already so we shall see. I'm getting it tomorrow.
You're not concerned about paying off and canceling service before the device is turned on and hits the network? I just worry. I've read where there has been issues on past deals. But I'm not sure on the order that cause the problems.

How could you create an account without a phone number? I cannot see any phone number in my agreement. I cannot log in to my Verizon account without a username! How did you do that?
what is the difference between a corporate store and an Authorized store? when I search for corporate Verizon stores I only can see Verizon stores!
Somebody please help me with that. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
Create an account first with your email and then at the top it will say "link account" then you put in the phone number of the new line and it sends you an email to verify and then adds that number to your account

Thanks for the repl, so it also depends on the timing when Walmart deliver the phone? If that's the case, there's not much difference which one to choose from. I don't have accounts with either of the carriers, this is why I want to know which carrier is easier to deal with.
it was mess for me. although phone was not completely activated but walmart did trigger something on their end the day of placing order that verizon started billing me. and it took 2 weeks to deliver the phone and get it activated. if that kind of thing happens again then add another $100 to this or spend some hours with verizon to cancel those charges.

I think she said she found it in the bill estimate area of their software. Anyways might be easier to just do it in store. It requires a manager override.

Im wondering what happens if we pass the 3-days. Can we still cancel but have to pay the prorated monthly + activation fee? As a fall back, can we just cancel everything and return the phone if things just don't work out?

According to everyone i talk to the device was activated the minute I made my account. Not sure how true, that is but last agent said it should be unlocked we shall see tomorrow. I will follow up and worst case I will return to Walmart within the alloted return period. I'm getting this for my parents and don't really need it so it's a gamble I'm willing to take.

I purchased vzw version with a new plan on 11/8, received email from vzw on 11/9 and setup online account. On the same day I tried to pay off in corporate store with cash before receiving the phone in the mail.
First they said no I have to wait 14-30 days to pay off. Showed them the their own documentation and CS chat that I can pay it off early. Then they "tried" and said it didn't work and went back to saying I have to wait 14-30 days.

Do you think the in-store cash payment might not of worked because I don't have the phone yet and this can't activate it?

Ya mine is for my kids. I'm going to open a chat and cancel now. It's paid off. But I'll have them verify that again and save the chat. My concern is in 60 days the device doesn't unlock and we're past Walmart return. I guess yolo
