Make sure you pick up the extended warranty for $20 from MS though.

I was just gonna ask how this works if I wanna get a warranty.

If I do use it, how does it work? Send the controller to MS and they send a new one back first?

Typically I believe they send out the replacement soon after your return package is received by fedex/ups.

My suggestion was learned the hard way: my first one started drifting at 1 month out of the standard warranty, so I had to go through multiple reps till I got it replaced under warranty. My replacement didn't ship till my defective one was processed by the service center.
