They clearance them every winter 75% off
The fundamentals are similar - battery packs attached to heating pads. The only difference with the aliexpress one is that it's a vest with varying number of heating pads attached with more heating pads = less usage time and vice versa. The issue with these Hart ones is tha tit uses a proprietary battery/charger which I'm not a fan of as I'd rather swap to another battery pack if I so choose to do so. This also leads to longevity usages and whatnot and how well the battery holds up in the long run as you do not have the option to swap.
imo the best/cheapest way if you have the skill is to buy the heating pads themselves which are super cheap - $10 or less on aliexpress and just sew them into your own clothes or go on cg and look up seamstresses and they'll do it for like $30 or something. I'm surprised that more people aren't utilizing them.
At $100 for this one jacket, where you can buy 3-4 separate heating vests on aliexpress is not worth it imo.
Just not this particular heated vest tho - but heated vests with powerbanks are my go-to
She's tried vests, thinner jackets, thicker ones, etc. and in general she finds the thin to medium vests the most useful because she can put a jacket on over the top if necessary to keep 100% of the heat in. To me this only applies because almost everyone settled on 10-15W, I think if one existed she'd be happy with a 30W jacket.
I do understand this shortens runtime but generally she knows how long she's going to be leaving the house for and can grab a 40Wh battery if it's short or an 80Wh battery if it's longer. That and most of the jackets have multiple strengths so if you need to stretch runtime just don't run a zone or don't run it full blast.
My wife does prefer the USB ones though since a lot of those power banks are a much thinner profile and don't feel as awkward in the pocket as even the smaller 1.5ah power tool ones.
If anyone knows of a higher heat one let me know, I do know that amazon has one listed as 12V/5A (60W) but it's false advertising. The 12V battery it came with could only output 12V/1.5A (18W) and I don't think it was even doing that since she felt it gave no more heat than any of the other jackets/vests.
