It's back! Limited Time Offer!
Your points are worth 10%-50% more
Until 11/30/23 or while supplies last, your Chase points are worth more when you redeem for any product on the Apple® Ultimate Rewards® Store.*

Chase Sapphire Preferred is 25% more.
Chase Freedom Unlimited is 10% more.

https://ultimaterewardspoints.chase.com/

For example:

The $1199 iPhone Prom Max is 79,900 points (plus tax if applicable) if you have the Reserve (so retail * 66.7 points). Effectively 1/3 off at a penny per point.

If you have a card with a $99 ish annual fee, I suspect you get 25% extra (so retail * 80 points). Effectively 20% off at a penny per point.

If you have a no-annual-fee card, you likely get 10% extra (so retail * 91 points). About 9% off at a penny per point.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

But what if you aren't traveling much and need a new iPhone? Not everyone is looking for a 4 cent pp redemption on a round trip business class flight to Zimbabwe. Why not buy airline gift cards when they go on sale? (Like the recent Southwest cards at Costco).

Also worth noting you get extended warranty and purchase protection when you pay with points (you don't when you pay with gift cards).
You are really better off buying apple gift cards when they have promos or Amex offers to buy Apple giftcards for 20% to 25% off and using the UR points for travel to maximize the value.
I can get an iphone 15 pro for 66,600 points ($660 cash value points)

tempting

Try First class Suites on Emirates. That's the only redemption I use my points for. Cell phones I can get cheap easily by trading in my Iphone 11's I got for $50 from metro.

Because everyone flies first class on emirates

its 50% bonus points not 100%

Still unheard of for new Apple products.

just my opinion but maybe you're just better off getting the iphone 15 pro max through Tmobile if you have them as a carrier. i just upgraded my iphone 13 pro max to 15 pro max an dit arrived in 2 days. they have trade in for $650 or $1000 depending on your plan. i got $650 for my iphone xs and sold my 13 pro max for $600 on the open market so u pretty much broke even. i think verizon also had a better trade in deal too. not sure about at&t.

I'm not upgrading my plan to go5g and Pay extra $45 a month just so they can force me to upgrade my plan again in 2 yrs lol

Been waiting on this for weeks now!

So, yes - it's not the absolutely best maximum redemption option for points, but a 50% bonus or 1.5 cents per is good enough to justify the purchase of a product that hardly EVER goes on sale, but ONLY IF you're not tied to a postpaid carrier or need to keep your grandfathered plan.

Otherwise, taking advantage of bill credits for an iPhone is a good deal as well, as long as you can foot the bill on multiple lines. I personally have a single line that I pay $35/month for, and for me it doesn't make sense to switch to postpaid.

Second - I know people have their stories about the Chase Apple Store. Yes, it's a third party. Yes, delivery times suck if you need a phone now or have no patience. I've ordered from them before (12 Pro Max, iPad Pro) and had no issues when it came to the actual delivery, but it was indeed a long wait.

Third - for those of you wanting points + a device faster, you can "pay yourself back" and get the statement credit, then use that credit to purchase your device from a retailer at full price.

I did this with my 14 Pro Max - at the time it was a 50% bonus, but now it's a 25% and only on select categories. But I got $1200 on statement credits for 80K points, and went to the Apple Store to buy my iPhone.

Every time I read about how fantastic the UR points conversion is for travel, I look into it and come up with the same answer. It's near impossible for airfare if you have kids and have fixed travel dates. I've used them on hotels, which is easier to do... If I were still single -or without kids- with a flexible schedule, I would be spending my points on Emirates, too.
Definitely best for single travelers or for business travel. Although, if you need to book a hotel, you can get some killer conversions to Hyatt properties with Chase URP's.

Mine only shows a 25% bonus. Also, no Macbook Pros, which is what I am shopping for (they allowed me to use points for a Macbook Pro about two years ago).

are we going to get more 1.5x pay yourself back opportunities? I'd hate to use 1.25 redemption and don't need apple gear

Is it not applicable to freedom flex or unlimited? I don't see an apple redemption offer and the apple redemption link takes me to a page not found.

Chase points too valuable for me to use on Apple … I did use Citi points for Apple gift card and then redeem it for new IPhone 15PM… still have 100k in Capitol one points
