It's back! Limited Time Offer!
Your points are worth 10%-50% more
Until 11/30/23 or while supplies last, your Chase points are worth more when you redeem for any product on the Apple® Ultimate Rewards® Store.*

Chase Sapphire Preferred is 25% more.
Chase Freedom Unlimited is 10% more.

https://ultimaterewardspoints.chase.com/

For example:

The $1199 iPhone Prom Max is 79,900 points (plus tax if applicable) if you have the Reserve (so retail * 66.7 points). Effectively 1/3 off at a penny per point.

If you have a card with a $99 ish annual fee, I suspect you get 25% extra (so retail * 80 points). Effectively 20% off at a penny per point.

If you have a no-annual-fee card, you likely get 10% extra (so retail * 91 points). About 9% off at a penny per point.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

But what if you aren't traveling much and need a new iPhone? Not everyone is looking for a 4 cent pp redemption on a round trip business class flight to Zimbabwe. Why not buy airline gift cards when they go on sale? (Like the recent Southwest cards at Costco).

Also worth noting you get extended warranty and purchase protection when you pay with points (you don't when you pay with gift cards).
You are really better off buying apple gift cards when they have promos or Amex offers to buy Apple giftcards for 20% to 25% off and using the UR points for travel to maximize the value.
I can get an iphone 15 pro for 66,600 points ($660 cash value points)

I bought AirPods Max with points in 2020 and they took about a week to get here. So it may depend on stock or just how someone is feeling that day.

Thanks for the data point and managing my expectations. I'll take it if ordering on 11/1 means shipped on 12/23 or earlier. I have a feeling I'll be lucky to get that.
If it helps, I checked the original order and it said "ships in 2-3 weeks" and the order I placed just now (black 256gb iph15) said 3-5 or 5-7 days. So perhaps it will be proportionately quicker than my first order Applause

You're assuming people have multiple Amex cards lmao
I don't need to assume, as that would make a ass out of you and me. Most SDer's that play the Amex offer game, do have multiple Amex cards. . LMAOLMAO

Try First class Suites on Emirates. That's the only redemption I use my points for. Cell phones I can get cheap easily by trading in my Iphone 11's I got for $50 from metro.

Emirates first class is 168k points+ $1072 to Asia where I travel. I have used it once just for experience on a A 380. I get better value on Business Class On Virgin to Asia which needs 70k points. I transfer to Virgin when there is a 30% bonus on transfer. So I pay 56k point for Business Class on A350 or A330 Neo from US to Asia.
The ticket on cash costs around 6k in cash

I only use my points to fly first class if I fly international. I want to enjoy something I won't pay 25k to 30k for. To each's their own though.

Hilariously specific example and on point, no one would pay these inflated business class fares, yet they keep using them for conversion ratio purposes. Like the inflated msrp on most Amazon slickdeals!!!!

Are you saying Apple products are not over inflated? lmao Unless you have ever experienced a first class suite on Emirates, I suggest you move along. A lot of people wish they could fly on a first class suite on Emirates airline on a international flight and never could as its out of reach financially or they refuse to pay cash for it. I have done it multiple times on points and each experience is better than the last one.

Don't understand why so many haters on this deal. If I'm in the market for Apple products, seems like it's a decent way to use up some UR points, especially if 1) I'm accumulating more UR points than I can spend; 2) I don't have any plans for significant travel; and 3) these points are just depreciating over time.

Last time in May when this deal rolled around, I ordered a Magic Keyboard + Magic Trackpad, and both came within 8-9 days.

Well said. And thanks for the data point on delivery time.

I don't think there are so many haters. I think it's the same 2 or 3 showboats that REALLY want you to know how special they are for being on a first class international flight. So badly that they are hanging around a thread for a deal which they want absolutely nothing to do with.

I love this offer from Chase. I use it to get my parents new iPhones every couple of years. I'm stingy with my points so I use a mix of dollars.

So you got it from the metro deal? It's not a used phone I can buy to use for trade-in?

This can't be a serious post. No one could be so clueless as to think that what gives happiness to them must be the same for every other human being.

btw, for me and many others, Apple products are easily worth much more than what I pay for them. (Economics 101: Having a single clearing price, where supply and demand meet, always means that most people get more value out of a product than its cost. That is always true, unless you can price discriminate, and charge different customers different prices, as airlines do.)
