Yep. Bought this because I got tired of dealing with gas, transferring clothes, etc.

I was very surprised at how well it worked. But of course, temper your expectations.

You can't FULLY load it. And expect things to dry completely.

I do smaller loads, which is still quite a lot compared to my old GIANT Maytag top loading.

It's quiet, efficient and it's dry when it's all done. The app notifies when it's 5 minutes away from being done. And when it's actually done.

The clothes come out damp feeling but when you expose it to air, it just dries up completely. Weird. But true.

And the clothes are nice and soft. I think the best part is the 32oz of liquid detergent. I set it to auto. And I can do a decent amount of loads.

12-15. Depending on the clothes.

One thing…I did buy a dedicated small battery Ryobi vacuum It makes it easier to vacuum the lint after 1-2 laundry.

Remember. The cleaner the lint basket is. The dryer the clothes come out. So I've made it a habit to just do it every 1-2 loads.

Regular clothes don't produce much lint. It's the blankets, towels and bathroom floor rugs that do.

Just things to consider and think about. I've had it for about 6 months. I'm happy.

I considered putting a second one side by side to do more laundry. Since they do sell a Y site connector for the water intake. But…I'm happy with the one.

I ended up just putting full wall cabinets where the old dry er used to be.
This uses a heat pump to generate heat and remove moisture. So the drying effect is similar to the evaporator in your home AC system, in that it pulls moisture from the air and just sends it to the drain without needing to vent externally. Pretty neat setup, and the reviews I've seen online seem positive about the tech. It also uses MUCH less electricity than a standard dryer. Like 1/4 per load vs. traditional dryer with heating element.
If you are a first responder or government employee, GE offers a 20% discount through their website using ID.me. Their listed price is $2,199, but after the discount shows as $1,759.20 with free shipping (not including your local tax).

I'm cheap. Buy 2x of these guys seems to be counter intuitive as a First Gen S.D.'er

But if you got the financial bandwidth, do what you want. Your experience was very helpful, especially in reference to the lint information.

man, prices have come down. I saw this on my local HD floor for $3000+ not too long ago.

now, if only that heat-pump would last a long time. I had one of those GE heat-pump water heaters, and had the coil replaced twice for leaks and breakage. took it out of action when the it broke the 3rd time and GE did not want to replace the coil again.

This seems like a game changer for those of us with ADHD who struggle to switch the clothes to the dryer before they start smelling and need to be rewashed.

Why in the world does it take over 2 hours to wash and dry?????
How long does it take for a standard separate washer and dryer? Not too much shorter IME, plus you have to be around to transfer the load.

It's worse for people with ADHD. I would estimate that I have to rewash half of the loads I do, sometimes more than once. 😭

No, that is laziness. However, *forgetting* to move it over is/ can be ADHD. It is a result of brain going a mile a minute.

Does it let you remove clothes you don't want to dry using the dryer before the drying cycle starts or is it one long cycle that cannot be interrupted?
This is my question.

I don't dry my work shirts and T-shirts. Can I set it up to not try after a wash cycle? I guess air dry with no heat may be an option?

Can you schedule this to start at specific times either from the machine or app?

Yes, you can schedule a delayed start like when you are sleeping on machine or app, also it has a setting to tumble the clothes with no heat intermittedly after dry cycle to prevent wrinkles, so when you wake up clothes are dry and no wrinkles. Game changer.

You can set it to wash only or dry only, and can set air temp like any other dryer.

We bought this from Costco back in early July. We have done almost 100 loads of wash since then and it is a game changer when it comes to washing and drying clothes. The heat pump really lowers energy cost. Unlike previous combo models this really gets the clothes dry and a normal wash and dry takes a little over 2 hours. It has worked very well for us and I wouldn't want to wash and dry clothes without it.
Can you schedule it to start at a certain time?

Yes, the Combo has an option ("Wash Complete") to ping your phone and pause for a few minutes before the dry cycle.

If you want to learn more, I got a lot from these Q&A videos between Yale Appliance and a GE designer:

The manual is online as well: https://products-salsify.geapplia...ybsw5v.pdf
This is actually a good one to read before buying.
