Yep. Bought this because I got tired of dealing with gas, transferring clothes, etc.

I was very surprised at how well it worked. But of course, temper your expectations.

You can't FULLY load it. And expect things to dry completely.

I do smaller loads, which is still quite a lot compared to my old GIANT Maytag top loading.

It's quiet, efficient and it's dry when it's all done. The app notifies when it's 5 minutes away from being done. And when it's actually done.

The clothes come out damp feeling but when you expose it to air, it just dries up completely. Weird. But true.

And the clothes are nice and soft. I think the best part is the 32oz of liquid detergent. I set it to auto. And I can do a decent amount of loads.

12-15. Depending on the clothes.

One thing…I did buy a dedicated small battery Ryobi vacuum It makes it easier to vacuum the lint after 1-2 laundry.

Remember. The cleaner the lint basket is. The dryer the clothes come out. So I've made it a habit to just do it every 1-2 loads.

Regular clothes don't produce much lint. It's the blankets, towels and bathroom floor rugs that do.

Just things to consider and think about. I've had it for about 6 months. I'm happy.

I considered putting a second one side by side to do more laundry. Since they do sell a Y site connector for the water intake. But…I'm happy with the one.

I ended up just putting full wall cabinets where the old dry er used to be.
This uses a heat pump to generate heat and remove moisture. So the drying effect is similar to the evaporator in your home AC system, in that it pulls moisture from the air and just sends it to the drain without needing to vent externally. Pretty neat setup, and the reviews I've seen online seem positive about the tech. It also uses MUCH less electricity than a standard dryer. Like 1/4 per load vs. traditional dryer with heating element.
If you are a first responder or government employee, GE offers a 20% discount through their website using ID.me. Their listed price is $2,199, but after the discount shows as $1,759.20 with free shipping (not including your local tax).

I looked at the post he responded to and he isn't wrong. Everyone is going to have electric and gas isn't really cheaper and gas prices continue to go up. For most people adding a gas service for nothing more than heat and a gas dryer isn't worth it especially when you add in the mandatory monthly service fees. Also heat pumps are more efficient and cheaper than gas.

He is also correct that this unit is actually going to reduce your electric needs. You will no longer need a 30 amp 240 volt outlet for drying.

The top comments make it sound great, but I'm skeptical for number of loads. A family of 6 of us with 4 kids under 6, we do so many loads that dryer and washer active at once. So this machine sounds great but you have a bottleneck and productivity massively drops.

Ideal for starting couples and those with no kids in the house I guess.

I have this unit and have done over 50 loads without issue. This thing is a game changer. Get two of them in the same space as one washer one dryer.

we moved into a house with a washer and dryer . the washer broke. we bought this machine and kept the dryer so we have the option of powering through loads like normal.

Who cares about how bigger the CF is in seperates, this dries all the clothes it is able to wash. Your thinking is so archaic with CF on seperates. 1 King Comforter is the measure of Amercian capacity, and this can do 1 king comforter. I never decided to dry more clothes my washing unit didnt wash.
Once again your statement was wrong. It's not the standard dryer size in America. It's 34% smaller.

Well in my area it's indeed around $40k. Underground trenching. Only PG&E contractor. Permit. etc.
I would like to see the quote on this. I'm doubting it hard. First off the wiring from the pole will most likely not need changed out. Those wires coming in can do way more than 200 amps. Second you prob wouldn't even need to since this dryer will work on any wall outlet.

Actually, you didnt need to run a new 120v line. There's a 220v Y-cable splitter that gives you 2x120v normal outlets at 15amps. FYI for the future!
That is going to be a code violation. The easiest way would be to swap the breaker out for a single pole and swap the outlet.

These dryers are supposed to put out a lot less lint as they run at lower temperatures and slower speeds than traditional electric or gas dryers. Saves wear and tear on the clothes.

Still washes and dries a king size comforter in one cycle. Who cares what random CF that was marketed as "standard"

This price isnt even a deal. Its been this price many times. Wait for $1699
This is a brand new item introduced a couple of months ago (think in June or July). The $1699 was an introductory price. It has never gone that low again. Not saying it will never, but has not since the last sale.

I can do 15-17 loads a week with a family of 4 total (2 adults 2 kids). This lady explains the paradigm shift is with your time, 5 kids vs your 4. You use your time more efficiently doing other stuff, you can also do your loads at night while you sleeping, and wrinkle free, so that adds 7 loads a week if you do 1 per night: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/I9CAF07rJSk. Think of it how you use a dishwasher

LG or Korean, American or EU brand does not make anything like this period. All-in-one, American capacity, ventless heatpump, 110v normal outlet hook up, and total load time on parity with 2 traditional units. Just because its "all-in-one" doesn't mean its the same tech or performance, especially in dry time. The only thing that comes close in performance is the LG Wash Tower ventless version, but thats still 2units and 220v. 110v is killer because its makes adoption so easy if you dont have to run a line. Why are do I know this? Just gutted my laundry room and re-designed it all around this GE.
Another benefit is that if anyone has solar and/or battery storage, they will be able to run loads during a power outage. The 120v draw is amazing.

Was there an introductory price, or price mistake? The first thread I saw was from costco, with a promotion that overlapped and I don't think it was meant to (ie it got fixed after 1 day).
