Yep. Bought this because I got tired of dealing with gas, transferring clothes, etc.

I was very surprised at how well it worked. But of course, temper your expectations.

You can't FULLY load it. And expect things to dry completely.

I do smaller loads, which is still quite a lot compared to my old GIANT Maytag top loading.

It's quiet, efficient and it's dry when it's all done. The app notifies when it's 5 minutes away from being done. And when it's actually done.

The clothes come out damp feeling but when you expose it to air, it just dries up completely. Weird. But true.

And the clothes are nice and soft. I think the best part is the 32oz of liquid detergent. I set it to auto. And I can do a decent amount of loads.

12-15. Depending on the clothes.

One thing…I did buy a dedicated small battery Ryobi vacuum It makes it easier to vacuum the lint after 1-2 laundry.

Remember. The cleaner the lint basket is. The dryer the clothes come out. So I've made it a habit to just do it every 1-2 loads.

Regular clothes don't produce much lint. It's the blankets, towels and bathroom floor rugs that do.

Just things to consider and think about. I've had it for about 6 months. I'm happy.

I considered putting a second one side by side to do more laundry. Since they do sell a Y site connector for the water intake. But…I'm happy with the one.

I ended up just putting full wall cabinets where the old dry er used to be.
This uses a heat pump to generate heat and remove moisture. So the drying effect is similar to the evaporator in your home AC system, in that it pulls moisture from the air and just sends it to the drain without needing to vent externally. Pretty neat setup, and the reviews I've seen online seem positive about the tech. It also uses MUCH less electricity than a standard dryer. Like 1/4 per load vs. traditional dryer with heating element.
If you are a first responder or government employee, GE offers a 20% discount through their website using ID.me. Their listed price is $2,199, but after the discount shows as $1,759.20 with free shipping (not including your local tax).

Does NOY dry AT ALL!! read the fine print a cycle to wash and dry is 8-14hrs something ridiculous. You might as well hang dry. If you try to just to dry it s not going to happen. It starts cycle all over again by getting clothes wet again. I contacted LG many many times and got terrible response. It is NOT a dryer was the upshot! I ended up returning and buying much cheaper front loader washer and small electric dryer on a wheel around base with a vebnt with filter on it if cold can vent into a room to help heat or can be vented into a window.
I'm sorry about your experiences with your LG unit, but this is a GE Profile unit of a substantially different design.

The military discount didn't apply at checkout. Usually, works only on full-priced items.
I had to clear my history, sign out and then sign back in for it to show. It will act odd but keep trying and it wil work.

You seem quite petty. If the situation exists then it exists. I did a home remodel and saved a bunch of money because I was able to place this in an area that could easily run water and drain to (former closet next to a restroom). Saved a crapload or money by not needed to run a vent or 240v outlet. You added nothing to this thread with your trolling.
C'mon even in your situation it is a rare instance because you were remodeling. Most people are not remodeling or building new construction and so don't have the luxury to spec out the minimum needed to make this work without making other washers and dryers working.
I was merely replying to someone saying how great this is to just throw this anywhere when in reality for MOST people, that is not any more feasible than any washer and dryer.

Providing counterpart is not trolling.

Btw, you better hope that this sort of washer dryer becomes mainstream by the time you sell your house otherwise that will be an issue.

You never want to vent into a room because there is still quite a bit of fine lint in the exhausted air even if you clean your lint filter. I had my dryer hose disconnected by accident and my wife didn't realize this for a couple of weeks until I noticed there was a film of lint in the utility room.

Wonder if you have to leave door open/if gasket gets gross around door. Also, wonder how easy is it to service the compressor, capacitor, and how loud it is compared to a normal dryer.

I agree, you were not trolling, but what he described re-modeling a linen closet adjacent to plumbing is something I am already thinking about when I gut my common bathroom. I have this unit, if it pans out to be reliable vs 2 units, it will definitely be common. No one would ever purchase seperate dish washer and dish dryer with the tech we have today, thats the exact analogy. Only time will tell how this tech pans out.

Its never the builder that does stupid stuff, its prior home owners being dumb, not everyone buys a new build.

Also there is a leaked LG dryer only that copies this tech on the web, so 110v may not be an issue at all in the future if plan B is a stacked setup

anyone know if I can order this from Costco and delay delivery until 2024? in the process of remodeling upstairs bathroom, and the idea of buying this model and moving it upstairs is really appealing... but not ready to receive it right now.

I suppose I could order and store in my garage for now, but eventually I'd have to pay some movers to shift this monstrosity up the stairs.

They wont do that much of a delayed delivery, they charge your card upon delivery, they not in the business of long term storage.

It will easily be this price or lower during the holiday sales in 2024

These are unlikely to last since there's a refrigeration system inside, think of how modern fridges don't last, it's the same here.

Yeah, you are right... those heat pump thingies are definitely not going to last 10+ years (pretty sure the waterfurnaces I have are really estimated to last 25+ years).

I've almost bought this two separate times both when it was 2K but what holds me back is the design flaw of the lint trap. It allows lint to get passed the trap and it ends up on the coils. You either need to seal around the lint trap or regularly clean that too

Because the wash cycle is followed by a dry cycle, it literally dries itself out for you.
