Yep. Bought this because I got tired of dealing with gas, transferring clothes, etc.

I was very surprised at how well it worked. But of course, temper your expectations.

You can't FULLY load it. And expect things to dry completely.

I do smaller loads, which is still quite a lot compared to my old GIANT Maytag top loading.

It's quiet, efficient and it's dry when it's all done. The app notifies when it's 5 minutes away from being done. And when it's actually done.

The clothes come out damp feeling but when you expose it to air, it just dries up completely. Weird. But true.

And the clothes are nice and soft. I think the best part is the 32oz of liquid detergent. I set it to auto. And I can do a decent amount of loads.

12-15. Depending on the clothes.

One thing…I did buy a dedicated small battery Ryobi vacuum It makes it easier to vacuum the lint after 1-2 laundry.

Remember. The cleaner the lint basket is. The dryer the clothes come out. So I've made it a habit to just do it every 1-2 loads.

Regular clothes don't produce much lint. It's the blankets, towels and bathroom floor rugs that do.

Just things to consider and think about. I've had it for about 6 months. I'm happy.

I considered putting a second one side by side to do more laundry. Since they do sell a Y site connector for the water intake. But…I'm happy with the one.

I ended up just putting full wall cabinets where the old dry er used to be.
This uses a heat pump to generate heat and remove moisture. So the drying effect is similar to the evaporator in your home AC system, in that it pulls moisture from the air and just sends it to the drain without needing to vent externally. Pretty neat setup, and the reviews I've seen online seem positive about the tech. It also uses MUCH less electricity than a standard dryer. Like 1/4 per load vs. traditional dryer with heating element.
If you are a first responder or government employee, GE offers a 20% discount through their website using ID.me. Their listed price is $2,199, but after the discount shows as $1,759.20 with free shipping (not including your local tax).

5 year warranty is $70-100 cheaper at Costco as well. This is THE one item I would splurge on the extended coverage. think it's $129/159 depending if it's itemized under/over $2k on receipt
Is Costco extended warranty through GE Service Protection Advantage (which is Assurant) or is it through another company?

I had to call GE warranty service once for my oven and it was surprisingly painless. I was able to book an appointment online, the guy showed up on time, diagnosed it quickly, then came back in a week to install the part. I was pleasantly surprised.

How would it work with a 3rd party extended warranty company if it's not through Assurant/GE?

Costco has Allstate coverage. In the past I would say Assurant warranty would be better. But who knows now. GE sold off Assurant 15 years ago, and Haier bought out GE Appliances around 7 years ago

They are all 3rd party service contracts now, but at least there is a partnership between GE and Assurant. . .and the Bodewell brand name for the coverage

I've read some reviews of this unit that complain about wrinkled cotton clothes - is it really that bad?

Agreed. I ended up getting that 3 year extra warranty which pushes it to 5 years. I am normally anti-warranty, but my wife wanted the peace of mind, plus this is a first model of something... probably a good idea.

Stupidity? Really? It works for you, great, but calling the rest of the world stupid for spending less and getting the same if not better cleaning and drying technology and a much larger capacity? Not being able to set drying temperature is a HUGE disadvantage. I would say over half of my clothes say to dry in low heat, so if this does not let you change the dry temperature, then that's a big NO.

You should really listen to your own advice.

Ok, forget the space-saving, 120v, and ventless part of the equation because as I have explained multiple times, many people just don't need that.

How is this better than say this combo which is $550 less, has better washer and dryer tech like steam, has a much bigger capacity, and again COST less? LG doesn't make great other appliances but their washers and dryers are top rated well over GE. I have had the worst luck with reliability with GE Monogram, and Profile is an even lower line than Monogram.

It's one thing to like your purchase, but the way some of you are carrying on and on about this after less than 2 years of ownership (probably even less than that) has me really concerned about your intention.
My oh my someone got cranky. Well I stand by my statement. Yes STUPIDITY.You aren't getting "better" or actually spending less so correcting that statement. Now if this isn't your preference, fine rock on. To each their own.

That's because you are too much of a fanboy to listen to what others have to say objectively. It's really not that hard to understand what that person is trying to say. Seriously, just read it again.
Not really a "fan boy" so correcting you for being wrong there. Read it again, stand by my statement. My oh my. Touchy and fragile group here I see. Try again.

You are spending more, especially if you don't require the no vent and 120v outlet. As a pure washer and dryer, how is this any better at washing your clothes and I drying your clothes than a $1500 washer and dryer set with technology like steam, etc? This is also a much smaller capacity than other conventional sets. Last time I check 2000 is more expensive than 1500.

And this is a week old thread. Let it go. I am sure GE has already paid you your commission by now.

Maybe if you care to research the GE profile washer/dryer all in one, you would know that it uses the latest heat pump technology which saves energy. No more needing to hire someone to clean the dryer vent also saves money. Best thing is, no need to take wet clothes out and put it into a dryer which saves time. Which is invaluable.

Ok well thread is a week old, but won't " let it go", and correcting you tarded statement on " commission". I'm not saying it's better or worse, but am saying for those who it fits, that it is as good and same cost as conventional setup. I honestly prefer the 110 electrical and love the ductless setup. Again, to each their own, but it's pretty much the same cost as if you bought a comparable two unit setup and does just as good of a job. For the convenience the five hundred bucks is a wash .So pretty much going to leave it at that. Agree to disagree.

My condo only has two 120 volt 20amp outlets for washer and dryer, or a stacked unit. No vent. I found I can stick whatever size washer I want in this space because washers are always 120v. For a drier, I got a Panda portable dryer and put it on a shelf above the washer. Way cheaper than any all-in-one stackable unit. Both the washer and dryer are way better than my old all in one unit. Now if have 240v for the dryer, the all in ones are probably not bad. The problem with the all in ones is the washer is usually small and goes out of balance quite often. The dryer is small and has a hard time drying. Separate units were cheaper and better for me. Plus is one goes out, you don't have to trash both of them.

And NONE of those things address what I asked. Does it do any better of a job cleaning your clothes or drying your clothes, or preserving your clothes than a good washer-dryer set?

Btw I don't think in my history of owning a home for 23 years have I ever had to hire someone to clean a dryer duct before. Never has been an issue.

As for the other things you mentioned, I have already addressed those multiple times on this thread.
