Recently start observing throttle issues in high traffic areas like outlet mall or sports venue. AT&T customers do not see such issues. But I can live with it as paying $240 for full year for a 10GB data plan.
You can buy at full price unlocked, and get a plan discount for the next two years. If you are thinking of traveling, that is the better way and is slicker if you stay with them (service is AT&T towers and works fine). That is the route I ended up taking.
I had to contact chat to enable Visual Voicemail and tethering. Very quick and easy, but shouldn't have to happen.
The plan discount (if you choose full price purchase) will not show on any screen or billing email, but it does charge correctly.
Red Pocket doesn't charge sales tax on phones in all states. Might save you $80+ over some of the other options.
