I have this. It's not great. You have to stagger the reels and sometimes that means holding a rod by an eye. If you have no reels or take them off, this would be fine. I have both spin and baitcaster and it only holds 8 comfortable.

FYI, just noticed Amazon has the Plusinno [amazon.com]rod holder on sale for $12 (with 40% off coupon). After doing some research on the KastKing and the Plusinno, the Plusinno looks to be a better version rod holder. But to each his own.

Still, THUMBS UP for posting fishing deals. Keep em coming!!!

I've been needing something like this. I only have two rods now, so one should be plenty.

Also, I didn't read the post closely at first, so it took me a minute to realize I had to enter both codes to get free shipping and the $10 discount.

Thanks for sharing, OP!

Thanks! I was wondering if they were hanging from the eyes in the photos. Pass for me

I have this and have 9 spinning rods and reels on it now. Probably can squeeze one or two more on there. Biggest issue is with slim, lightweight rods. Seems to be built to accommodate beefier rods. Ugly Stik Gx2's fit fine, for reference.

Yeah there's a reason the stock photo only shows a reel on every other rod.

I have 8 as well, spin and baitcasters. Yes staggering the reels is necessary but that also saves space. I certainly don't need to hang any of my rods by the eyes though.

I agree. It's great to hold half as many rods as it's rated for. That's how I use it and it's fine.

I have this and I think it works great. If you have enough vertical space you don't have to stagger the reels. Also they are not hung by the eyes. The part you put the rod in squishes in and kind of holds the rod. Works great.

Received an email today that my order will be cancelled due to being OOS. I ordered the same day the deal was posted, so I'm a bit disappointed.

FYI to anyone else thinking about ordering.

I agree, works but not great. Doesn't work well for really thick surf rods. Sometimes they fall when you are putting rods in/ out.

These are garbage. Save yourself the heartache and get some Plusinno's from Amz.

Agree, I bought one, it sucks. Flimsy and ugly. It is still in use though, it is serving a temporary purpose until I find time to build a proper fishing rod holder.
