Been swapping for years. Basically just switch between parties at same location via different emails and can even use different CCs if you wish. Doesn't matter even if other party is second, just can't go primary party to primary party w/o it being a renewal or breaking the listed rules. Same applies to Sam's Club.

It can make it messy, but as long as you keep proof of the membership number it was purchased under, never been a problem. They don't say can't return just because your membership is expired and don't have to have a current one to return stuff. Pro tip: Take pictures of reciepts as they often fade and while it isn't a big deal if bought under current membership, it makes it difficult if you do get new number every 12-18 months.

My membership expired in January 2021 and it's saying the stacksocial code isn't valid. 18 month terms does not work. I'd avoid unless your a true new member. Now trying to get a refund.

Does it have to be redeemed in a store with the code that SS supplies? Only 2 Costcos anywhere near me, and both are 50 miles away in opposite directions! How is Costcos shipping for large items like appliances - is it free? BJs is currently 6 miles away, but I miss Costco and their $1.50 hotdog combos when I lived out west! Sam's Club is also 50 miles away, but I prefer Costco.

that allowed 3-6 month since active member
so it's not unreasonable to come here looking
asking about it - it's the only reason i came here.

Same house/address, different person in house as primary, different email, different CC etc.. Second person on the account is just on there as a name, so doesn't matter, so when they become primary, you become "just a name" and all the rules then apply to primary. We aren't breaking any rules here, just honoring "new member" requirements of x months needed between sign ups by changing the primary member to one that has not been a primary member in that time.

I don't have or care about their branded card. If they gave you a lower membership price or different prices for CC members, that might change the math. As it stands, can get 1 and up percent on other cards playing standard credit card games. You must keep active Costco account in card holders name from what I recall and no discount. Would certainly have to buy way more than we do for that to matter.

Can confirm that the 18 months lapse of membership does not work with this promo for me either. I left a message for the stacksocial customer support that they need to remove the 18 month disclaimer if it no longer applies (my membership lapsed 4 years ago and Im signed up on the visa autopay according to the directions, however promo code does not work). Also am hoping to get a refund. Posting my experience to save those who are reading the comments time and frustration.
