Was looking to buy a second pair of 530's used for the downstairs, being about the same price as these Klipsch. But I am willing to try out, and return the klipsch if I dont like.

Is there significant difference between RP600M II vs RP600?
RP600 is currently $349: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G3DC87L
Had both and the new ones are much better. Put the money into those if you are buying.

Have the originals got them super cheap when the new ones came out.

Been using them in a 2.1 setup as my computer speakers in a near field monitor setup and love them.

I have the OG RP600m and they are great speakers. If you don't have a living room to fill with sound they will put out more than enough bass. I kind of went crazy though and put a 5.1 setup in my bedroom.🤣

I thought it is a good deal, but looks like it is the normal price now; anyhow, I bought it and I like it, it digs deeper than my older Klipsch bookshelf speakers, now I need to get a newer subwoofer

SVS all the way. They will have Black Friday sales on their outlet page. Give 'em a peep.

Yes, I like SVS, but kind of expensive for me; will keep on eye for Thanksgiving sale; I am also worried that I might miss this sale on "Klipsch SPL-120 Powered Subwoofer 12 inches" for $399 (pretty close the lowest that I have seen, previous low being $379)

The 530s are no doubt better. And quite a bit cheaper when JBL puts them on sale. I plan on being buried with my 530s.

These vs SVS ULTRA?
Stick to subwoofers from SVS, their speakers look nice but aren't competitive. For speakers, catch the Elac DBR62 when they're on sale for less than 500. They are far above the Klipsch in terms of performance and you'll probably never feel the need to replace them as there's hardly any room for improvement.

Yeah, remember Klipsch MSRP is a meaningless number.

Amazon Klipsch SPL-120 [amazon.com]

Yes, the SPL-120 is probably the best bang for the buck, no arguments. You may have more luck finding BF prices on crutchfield, tho. Amazon is competitive, but only drops prices on stuff for BF they have partnerships with or own themselves.

Anything is possible. Best bet is to buy any of the powered klipsch stereo speaker sets that already exist. If you do desire, you can buy a stereo plate amp that is designed to mount in a square hole in the back of one speaker that you run a wire to a second speaker. Check places like parts express. There's also this… https://www.arylic.com/products/w...-plate-amp

I have the older model Rpm 600, with the super high efficiency (93 db?spec) anyway, they are an amazing upgrade to my old computer speakers (Bose roomate powered speakers) I bought one of thecheap Douk audio tube amps and connected to my PC with Toslink and threw in an old Polk sub. Sound is incredible, with only 35 watts. Im not an HiFi expert, but my dad is . (Wall of McIntosh equipment, amps, pre amps, granite mounted turntable and McIntosh speakers the size of a large dresser). Anyway he was impressed by the sound. (though he despises the sound of "Klipsch horn tweeters"… i dunno wtf he's hearing).

Measurements show these are tuned with a rise in frequency response from about 1-2K up to 10-11K. This gives them the bright Klipsch horn sound / brightness that put off some people. Klipsch is also know to exaggerate the efficiency spec. They measure about 86dB which is far below their spec and in line with typical speakers in this price range.
