To me these are downsides that don't matter unless you are planning on planting this saw in a garage, (if you are, i wouldn't recommend the dewalt b/c those two things are deal breakers)
There is some play on the rail that can cause 1/16-1/8" deflection during slide cuts if you don't actively apply even pressure, I think this is improved on the bosch.
That being said the dewalt can be incredibly accurate once you get used to it, I learned how to do a lot of finish carpentry from Youtube, and you still see (inside carpentry & finish carpentry TV) using the dewalt over other 'premium' miter saws despite sponsorship opportunities, I think that says a lot about the tool. Yeah there's times when i wished the Dewalt was better, but you can't go wrong if you can grab it under 300$
