This is a good deal. It's pretty much the replacement of the DWAMF120SET which was being sold for $35 at HD. The case is nice as it fits on top of a TSTAK and also can have smaller ToughCase+ (small ToughCase+ or medium ToughCase+) attached on top. Personally, I prefer the similar kit at Lowes which has FlexTorq bits and more drill bits (regular shank, not hex), but that one is about $10 more: https://www.lowes.com/pd/DEWALT-F...5001674513.

This is really only a good deal if you need/want the longer bits. If you buy those individually or in small packs they are quite expensive per bit.

If you don't need those then you aren't getting much for your dollar.

Decent deal, but I'm not a fan of Dewalt's bits.

The other issue with these sets is that you'll never use 80% of the bits.

Personally, in this day and age, anyone using anything other than Torx is an absolute monster!!! Lol.

And as far as "Box Store Brand" bits, the Milwaukee are good. I really liked the old Makita gold. But of them all, none compare to Vessel. (Vessel Japan. NOT Vessel US 'made in Japan'. The Vessel US is still better than other bits from box stores, but the Japanese bits are hardcore. I've had the same set of Torx bits for 2 years, and I ABUSE them heavily. I'm yet to have a snap, or a bend (which Dewalt has a huge problem with bending tips). Also, I don't cam out with the Vessel.

So, if you want to get a gift for someone, these DeWalt packs aren't the worst idea... but if you like the person (or yourself) then at least get the Milwaukee... just throw away the boxes the Milwaukee bits come in lol. (They are too snug and it's a pain to get bits into, or out of.)

I agree!! My son just graduated with a degree in Building Construction, and Technology, and we're trying to help him build up his tools, and it gets pretty confusing.

This is a decent set! I keep it in my vehicle with my 12V impact. Main thing for me is the size and ability to hold multiple bits. Just the ability to hold that many bits was important to me. You can also switch out some of the holders. It's lacking several bits I use regularly, but I have many DeWalt sets. I paid $30 last year, as well.

I looked up a universal bit holder to replace my broken Craftsman one and came across this set.

Looks like this will stack up nicely on the Dewalt shallow 10 compartment organizer. Can anyone confirm? TIA

How are the at taking bits out of the holder/case? I have some Milwaukee cases that just suck and it's a pain in the butt to remove a bit. I get you don't want them to fall out, but would prefer one that doesn't require pliers to grab a bit out of the case.

Much better than the milwaukee ones. Had the milwaukee ones before the update.
