I'm sure we all already know this but at the risk of stating the obvious with Black Friday around the corner it might be worth waiting to see if a better deal comes along unless you need that 8 TB drive right now which is entirely possible.
I did get a bit of a chuckle out of toshiba trying to sell this as a "gaming drive" in this day and age where even a 250 GB hard drive (if you're pinching pennies at $30.. heck just spend the $16 more and get the 1 TB version) SSD models like say the crucial MX500 are on sale at low prices and will give much better performance.. or if you have an m2 slot in your motherboard check to see if the crucial P5 plus, $54 for 1 TB right now on sale at amazon, will be compatible with your motherboard

which is not meant to criticize the OP's posted deal by any means, in my opinion this would be good for a file storage drive ... but if you can squeeze the extra $43 or $54 or what not into your budget I would make one of the above mentioned drives a combination Windows/operating system and gaming drive and the 8 TB a secondary file storage drive unless the game is say some indie game that isn't that demanding in terms of the PC's resources. I'm sure this 8 TB drive would be great to store Windows backups on too (if you can't afford to buy backup software try the free version of AOEMI and make sure to backup your Windows drive every month or so manually onto the 8 TB drive).
I'm scratching my head myself as to whether or not it's a hybrid drive... I did snag the seagate firecuda 8 TB drive for $118 when it was on sale at newegg but looks like that sale is over now and not seeing it for that price anymore..
I did find the manufacturer's official spec links if that helps any

and at risk of re-igniting the CMR vs SMR war all over again here on the forums if I'm reading the spec sheet right looks like it's CMR which is apparently better than SMR though again there's a LOT of debate about that with plenty of people arguing that SMR is just as good and cheaper so you get more bang for your buck in terms of the size of the hard drive.. and a lot of people arguing no that's silly stick with CMR it's more reliable and better.
Tom's hardware was not impressed with the 14 TB version of the drive

but on the other hand I do notice the drives tom's hardware recommends are more expensive than the $120 for 8 TB models (Western Digital Blue comes close at $129 but 5400 rpm so slower )
