So if you buy 5 Vudu gift cards, you can list three of them in the Payments section of your account. You won't be able to store the other two there until you have spent the entirety of a giftcard's value and it drops off from your account.

Could a then take that $50 credit from that gift card that I purchased from target, loaded into my Vudu account and then use that to purchase gift card at Vudu when they go on sale 11/23?
A double dip of sorts. Can you pay for a gift card at Vudu with a Vudu gift card?
If that would work, then theoretically when all is done I would've required $60 in Vudu credits for a little over $40. Oh, of course it might not work if the discount code needed for 11/23 prohibits the use of credit already in one's account.

Pretty much every movie on there I've been able to converted for d2d for $2. You just click on the pic and it will pull up a full size version with fully functional upc code. You really need to have a 2nd device to be able to use though. One to display the barcode, one to scan with vudu.
so i bought a Vudu gift card last year that did not work. i battled back and forth with VUDU the code did not work for months, they took weeks to get back to me: screenshot this and that. i did, they asked again. finally complained to paypal. they intervened:
"Refunded to XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
You'll see "XXXXX *WGC*VUDU" on your statement."
