Important to note that if you choose reloadable card instead of debit or credit, you must spend $50 first before you get a $50 credit.
Lots of exclusions, but you could use the coupon to buy groceries and then use the $50 you would have spent on groceries to buy the item you want
If this is a coupon like last time, you could double dip by using it in store while checking out online right after you check out.

For the reloadable card:

You must provide your Social Security Number. Federal regulations* require us to collect this information. We will never check your credit, we just need to verify your identity.

Maybe you could cancel it now and apply for a new one before the offer ends

Great. Already had reloadable and debit (never used the reloadable) now I guess I have a target credit card too. Sigh. First world problems.

In the past, I was able to use the $50 coupon code once in-store and again online, essentially doubling the value. I wonder if they've fixed that yet

personally i wouldn't apply for a credit card just to get $50. too many hard pulls and/or new accounts aren't good for your credit score

Please don't get the credit card for $50. It's the biggest trap. Should at least get $400-500 for every new card you sign up for.

My thought exactly…I don't need another cc. Not even for $50.

I'm not familiar with the reloadable card or how it works. Is this saying I would need to spend $100? In other words, spend $50 of my own money, then get $50 in credit to spend?
