I'd invest in a stainless steel air fryer like breville thats also a oven and toaster.

I do not care for an air fryer with a crisper tray trivet in the bottom of the basket. When you pour out your food from the basket, the hot crisper tray falls out on your plate and the food goes flying everywhere. Prefer an air fryer with an aerate removable basket.
Just buy a deep fryer and some peanut oil and never look back.
If air frying was so good, fast food restaurants would be using them. Taste is what matters and if you spending 30 bucks for a 10lb bag of chicken wings and for 10buck a 5lb bag of fries at sams club then you should be cooking it the right way. In fact you would save more money not going to a fast food joint since you wouldn't be craving properly fried cooked foods

Does this still come with the strong plastic smell?
They all come with that nasty smell. I suggest you take the unit outside and turn the temperature and timer all the way to burn the smell out. I think I had to run mine for a couple of cycles and a wash in between to neutralize the unit.

Went and picked this up yesterday. It has just as wide and long basket as the larger capacity units which means for most use cases it's just as good. It is slightly lower power at 1500 instead of 1700 so the max temp is 400, which is equivalent to conventional oven around 430. Again just as good as higher temp units for most uses. Finally yes it has plastic smell. I went ahead and soaked the basket like the instructions said and ran it with some water in the basket still to try and steam the bulk of the unit . Honestly the stench wasn't even a problem but maybe because of these two steps.

Definitely would recommend the unit for the price. It's wide, quiet, preheats to 400 in just 2-3 minutes, and the touchscreen doesn't feel anywhere as cheap as the price would make you think. I used $5 kohls cash and the unit was $29. It's perfect for my needs, glad I didn't spend double for a slightly taller unit with 'more premium' materials, and that goes slightly higher temp.

Is this deal dead? I can't get it for less than $60 on their site with the coupon code.
