Is unmanaged the best option for wanting to share my home network to other devices via Ethernet?

There is this one, that has a lot more stuff it says it can do, but I am not sure if any of that is necessary.

Looking to add one with my Nest wifi as it only has the one port.

Limited-time deal: TP-Link 5 Port Gigabit Switch | Easy Smart Managed | Plug & Play | Desktop/Wall-Mount | Shielded Ports | Support QoS, Vlan, IGMP and Link Aggregation (TL-SG105E),Black https://a.co/d/g0YSQKC

If you don't have any specific requirement for a managed switch, just get an unmanaged one.

That said, I am also on the fence here. The exact switch you linked is only a bit more and is more 'future proof' for when I might have managed switch requirements.

But personally, I have done a bit of messing around with vlans so it's actually remotely possible that I could want something like this. For most people, I wouldn't bother.

EDIT: Also FWIW, this is a great deal. if you need a switch, get it.

Coming from a mildly tech savvy person... General rule if you're asking yourself if you need a managed switch, then you don't need one.
