You generally won't get spot price for bullion, but being in assay card does increase value. I would say you could probably get close to spot for this, if not spot. You certainly could get a few $$$ above spot from a private buyer.
so people are buying and putting up $2k at a time, for a potential $30 profit when they sell?

Gold could come crashing down anytime correct? I am trying to understand why people are doing this, is it for immediate buy/sell for profit or is everyone holding them thinking this is like amazon day 1 stock price and it will balloon over time? (Which i doubt gold is going to do this)

No kidding. I'm thinking to make the yard ugly and paint the house with ugly color. So poor people wouldn't target it.

People arn't buying them to flip right away. They are buying them to hold for a bit assuming inflation will persist and the dollar will continue to devalue. Yes, gold price could go down at anytime but it tends to go up during times of war and economic unrest.

My order for the 1oz was canceled, but both 50g bars shipped despite purchasing two recently.

When you look at the links for the 50g bars, was the Costco product ID number different? It seems like they may get canceled when ordering the same number again. The product number sometimes changes, even with what appears to be the same item.

The 1 oz. 4000202779 Has shown up a few times now

The 50 gram bars I've ordered have had the same item number. First two shipped. Yesterday I placed two orders of one each. For whatever reason, one shipped, one was canceled.

Interesting. I think that I recall seeing someone else also mention having one cancellation when placing two individual orders for one of the previous deals, even though it was their first time ordering them. There definitely seem to be some quirks to the system.
