I have a bunch of kinda gimmicky tools and this one I love. As a DIYer who isn't good with a caulk gun this thing lays down product very well.

Is this a good price? I'm thinking about it. I'm sure it's good when you're doing a large area. Or isn't it?

I tried it and returned it. Not worth the money over a manual one for average diy. Felt like it didn't have good control and used too much.

depends if you'll put it to use. i use it mostly for stiff adhesives like loctite. after a few tubes my fingers start to hurt with the hand operated one.

I got one for around $25 from a deal a while ago and I like it for big jobs but even on the lowest setting I feel like too much comes out for small jobs.

I have two. One for 10oz tubes, and one I Frankensteined the Milwaukee 29oz upgrade kit on to for larger tubes.

If you've got a lot of caulking to do (or adhesive to lay) or if you have any weakness in your hands, this thing is a lifesaver.

As a weekend warrior, I find it useful to save some finger strength to do the caulking. You can set rate of the caulking flow and it does the job well. I got it as part of my ryobi ecosystem. The only downside of this is the size. It is big and heavier than the manual one and not suitable in tight space.

For filling large gap this is a game changer. For detailed trim or bathrub work, probably just use a manual non-drip gun for much better control

Was able to snag this at a Direct Tools Outlet for $29 'factory blemished' but I think $59 still a good price.

Old post, but you can get a higher ratio caulk gun for the more viscous products. Check out the guns they sell in depot by the concrete.
