UHD = Ultra high definition, denoting a 4k resolution ( 3840 x 2160 pixel)

QLED = Quantum Light Emitting Diode. It's a tech that uses phosphorescent crystals to improve the LED backlight on an LCD TV. Many manufacturers use the tech, but Samsung has the patent on the QLED term. QLED is the color filter that helps improve color. So basically you get much better color and more color too. Keep in mind that the QLED color filter isn't the only improvement in those TVs. There is also the full array lighting system that improves brightness, deepens blacks, and reduces blooming. This results in sharper high contrast scenes as well as much better HDR as well.

The terms have nothing to do with each other. QLED is a display technology while UHD is a resolution designation.

For anyone wondering this is pretty much bottom of the barrel picture wise. IPS display with washed out black levels. No wide color gamut. Dim LEDs. No full array local dimming.

Is this a better TV than the TCL Q5, which is a QLED?

Since the Q5 is also 4k, it probably makes sense to assume they meant QLED vs LED.

Based on that review, not sad about getting the 50" TCL Q5 for $250 a couple weeks ago for a family member when their 43" died.

A 55" might have been ok, but nothing larger would have fit where it would have gone.

I have been eyeing a 32 inch 4k monitor at $280 - $300 range. Makes me wonder, will this 55" work for that use case as well? I guess my question is what is the difference between a monitor and TV for productivity use cases? (Browsing, spreadsheets etc, no gaming)
