Also at Ace Hardware [acehardware.com] with free store pickup. (My guess is that Amazon is price matching.)

You can easily magnetize the bit.

Is it easy to explain?

Bit magnetizers are NOT great. They don't have the same bit retention you would expect, and the magnetic force doesn't last long. A ratcheting screwdriver with a built in magnetic tip is great for small component builders such as computers etc. love my LTT screwdriver and Megapro, just wish there was a cheaper option.

How does it compare to the newer model that replaced it?

Showing off the "speed drive" functionality in this review video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9ShSYyIO7I
Pretty cool. Similar to the video OP, I love my MegaPro ratcheting screwdriver.

I'm not too fond of the two-sided bits, they make it hard to get replacements or use other bits.

I could just get Kobalt one with similar feature and price that uses one side bits and magnetic

You can, but I don't think it will last right?

I like the double sided bits they are easier on my fingers putting them in and out of the chamber. Double sided bits are not hard to find. Hyper Tough 3 Pack 2 inch Double End Phillips Screwdriver Bits Set AU85042K https://www.walmart.com/ip/968533405
