I heard previous enders need tinkering.
Does this?

I just want something that will work out of the box.
Also, can I send the print job from my computer? (Or do I have to save the sliced file to a sd card then print off that?)

SD card unless you have a rpi lying around and want to setup octoprint. Probs best bet anyways since this thing has a nob and no touch screen

I would suggest the Beagle Cam v2.
it's like a combination of octoprint and a webcam. Its easier to setup than getting a pi and camera and octoprint.

the Beagle Cam is like adding a FireTV to a dumb TV.

it doesn't support this model yet but I'm pretty sure it will in the next firmware update.

Never heard of it. Thanks for mentioning. Do you even suggest if you don't plan to add a cam? I do like to go with the major software versions instead of someone's fork.

Looks better than the Elegoo Neptune 3 pro I got months ago. I like that this has rails for the y-axis.

the beagle cam connects to the printer USB and you interface to your printer over the network via web interface. you can send print job to the camera and it will have it print out on the printer. so if your pc crash or have to say shut down for maintance you won't lose the print as the beagle cam is holding all the print data and controling the printer. so your pc is free to game and watch kinky movies wihtout worry about distrupting the print.

in layments terms. if you want to eat pizza you have to get the dough, tomatoes sauce and cheeze (the model file). then make and cook the pizza.(printing process)
with the beagle cam.. its like you give the ingredians to a hot chick, she cooks it for you and at the same time take a serieses of cute tik tok videos of the cooking process and give you the pizza a the end.

you can also view the print via the camera in the process. You can remotely view as well as start/stop/view prints from the printer.
I have three of them. 2x for my two SV06+ printer and one for my modded ender 3 pro. makes printing so much enjoyable. not fudging around with copying SDcards and the like.

It depends on what you're looking to print with. This printer here is primarily for PLA and PETG, which is what 99% of people use. For exotic filaments you need the 300C hotend of the Sovol.

I have the Sovol SV06 Plus, which is the upgraded model and have no complaints.
I bought Sovol SV01 few weeks ago. That's my first ever 3d printer. But I couldn't get it to print the samples that came with the printer in the sd card. The print gets peeled off from the bed after few mins while still printing. I tried different temperature settings, nothing worked for me. I returned it few days ago.

Any recommendation for a good, easy to use 3d printer is much appreciated. When people talk about 3d printer here on sd, I don't understand all those terminologies. I just want it to be simple, just hit Print from an app and it should print it.

Tempted to pick one of these up. Seems like a great price, probably not much point in waiting until black friday?

Edit: Ordered, thanks!

Get it now I doubt it will be cheaper than this. Maybe at best $10 cheaper. But you will be enjoying this weeks earlier

Just ordered this for a 12 year old who is interested in 3-D printing.
What else do I need to buy for this so we can begin our 3-D printing adventure? We've done those junky pens so I know I need filament, but is there anything else I'd need?
