Yes they are a large electronics retailer in the southeast with brick and mortar stores and online offerings. Bought my washer and dryer from them

Never bought from them before, but I jumped on the PartyBox 310 they have for $299, so we'll see I guess. I used PayPal for payment, so Im not too worried.

FWIW I've had and LOVE the PartyBox 100 for years and its by far the best bang for buck large Bluetooth speaker. I have buddies that have Soundboks SB3 speakers and while yea they are louder, they are also $1000, which I think it WAY overpriced and they DO NOT sound THAT much better. But I have been wanting to upgrade to the larger PartyBox 310 for the DC input so I can charge the speaker from my portable solar setup when taking on multi-day outdoor trips. The PartyBox 100/110 only charges via AC sadly. I would have never upgraded if it had a DC input.

Wouldn't an AC Inverter be cheaper, like the kind you plug into your car to get 120V AC?

But I agree, the price on the 310 is unreal. I have the PartyBox 300 for a few years now, use it almost every day on our patio, but feel like I should get this and just stow it away for when my 300 breaks!

EDIT: Before I signed up, the 310 said "FREE SHIPPING". I signed up and put it in my cart and checkout shows $44 shipping. What the heck?

Wait, for the PartyBox 310 or to charge the PartyBox 100 from the car? Well, sure, of course I have an inverter for the PartyBox 100, but thats a pain to do while camping or at a weekend party event when I have the solar setup up and running.

And yea, they did the same thing to me with the false free shipping.

Wired? You mean for the audio source or power? And the answer to those both with be both or neither. It has a built in battery and it supports a USB drive or Bluetooth.
EDIT: I was mistaken, the 710 does not have a built in battery and only runs on AC power.

I meant to use the PB100, convert the solar output (I assume DC) to AC to run the 100 during the day? Just a suggestion, wasn't trying to make a big deal about it. Smilie

Oh I see what you mean, sorry, couple drinks in Wink

Yea you lose a lot of power using an inverter, always best to stay DC to DC when using solar and batteries. And if you have to use an inverter, you want to be generating DC at as high a voltage as you can get (48V preferably) to minimize loss. So, since the PB310 has 12V DC in, I get a way more efficient way to transfer power to charge it than I can with the PB100 with an inverter.
