I'm worried teaching the game will be difficult and there would be a huge learning curve. Anyone with experience on how this game fares with their groups? Suitable to play with kids 10+? My nephews could just barely hold their patience for JOTL and got through a few stories before needing a break.
NOTE: The Target web GUI is vague at the cancel step, I couldn't tell if I was choosing the number to KEEP in my order, or if I was choosing the number to CANCEL. The answer was to choose "2" to cancel 2 of them. Hopefully that helps someone else out.
She hated root. We also tried it with our gaming group and it just didn't click. So we sold it (and I was an original KS backer too).
For anyone looking at other games, Everdell is a great hit with my wife and our gaming roup. My 5 year old also loves ticket to ride. He learned on Ticket to Ride Europe, then we did Ticket to Ride New York, and then recently Ticket to Ride Ghost train. Ghost train is his favorite because of the theme.
He also loves Carcassonne too. We play base game and also Inns & Cathedrals with the 5 year old.

Math:
25% off = 3/4
B2G1F = 2/3
(2/3)*(3/4) = 2/4 = 1/2

The only thing is not everyone will see the strategies for winning because each faction in the game plays very differently than the other. It might help to have an experienced player that's familiar with how the factions work before introducing it to kids.
