No thanks i don't want it even if i get a free lifetime supply of AAA. Where would i even store them. I don't own warehouse storage space. I do have plenty of 18650 cells that i don't need to discard like disposable AAA.

FWIW I used eneloop AAAs in these headlamps. I generally find 3-cell headlamps annoying but at this price I can deal.
These are worth it at $5, or maybe even $10. But man, once I switched to USB chargeable ones, it's hard to go back to these AAA powered ones.
Best headlamps like Black Diamond uses AAA so you can just simply replace batteries when out hiking/camping. Also, look into rechargeable batteries...Disposable batteries needs to be left back in the 80s where they belong.
Do you have a good rechargeable model you like? I need one but I got choice paralysis looking at the thousand options on amazon.

I personally got the ones linked below based on the amount of reviews, but as you indicated, there are a lot of options. Currently on sale for $15 for 2. In the long run, it's worth it just to not have to deal with batteries. I only use for camping or taking my dog for walks at night.
I have a few of this exact style and some similar which I use very often. My main gripes are that the headband gets loose from wear and the hinge on the light itself wears out (I often angle the light downwards to work on something) so I can no longer aim precisely in a certain zone after a while.
I don't ever use the motion sensor as it tends to turn off by accident when I move something. A family member loves that feature through.
What I do love is the convenience of charging. I keep one in the car, one within reach at home, and one in the garage.

Costco had similar Duracell last year
The hinge wore out
The aiming is useless now

Klein has one that clips in to a mount on their hard hats, usually comes with head band also . Usb charging, get the three light one. It is usually 30ish$
I got a couple of these sets when the were at $9.97 also. I am very disappointed. The batteries last an ok amount of time but the light is not that good. I like the features and the idea of having variable control over the light level. They just did not prove to be useful. I gave them away. The light is not even and I could not do work as effectively as I would have liked. If you are just walking in a dark area (of your house or yard) they are probably ok.
I tried a high lumen light from Amazon (1200) and while it is bright, it does not have a balanced light that is comfortable to work with.
I had grabbed some of the Coast headlamps at Costco when they had them many years ago. Those are good. I recently got the Coast headlamps that are on the website only. These are light, rechargeable, and really good. the light is even, full, and everything is clearly illuminated. I am very happy with these and how long the light lasts.
I LOVE THESE, they have made attic work so much better I haven't had battery die in mine or haven't had one break yet. I might grab a few more at this price, well worth it to me.I am also not using these daily or anything.
They probably just need to clear these out for the new SKU. I have the model prior to this one (450 total lumens), it has served me well but there is one flaw - the hard plastic part that contacts your forehead is too flat and gets very uncomfortable after wearing it for a while. I hope they have fixed this. I have since gotten a Husky rechargeable headlight and really don't need anymore, but if my local Costco has these for $4.97 I am picking up a set or two. The batteries alone are worth that much.
I don't have this particular model, but I usually wear these headlamps over a regular baseball-style cap. This way one can wear it for a longer period of time.
