In case it sells out or price goes up, Walmart will have it for $25 too on 11/8. Hopefully Amazon will match more of their sales.

Possibly depending on how they are with Lego. I have a 6yr old who can do all the minecraft and mario and some creator ones without issues. I just did the jeep wrangler technic and found some of the pieces a little tougher to snap together since it's not your traditional lego bricks. That being said I bought my 6yr old the Lamborghini technic set (the smaller one - not the $400 one) because he's obsessed with Lamborghini right now.
